What is Scandinavian Design? According to founder Anders Färdig it is a philosophic and aesthetic perspective rather than geography and nationality. Products ranging from fashion, lighting, tableware and limited studio editions, Design Stockholm House is the genesis of a collective of Scandinavian designers, which reached immediate worldwide success with a collection that included Harri Koskinen’s Block Lamp in 1997, and is now part of MoMA’s permanent collection.
