The timeless lamp Azimut was created in 1969 by the architect and French designer Christian Girard. His aim was to finalize a ‘mobile and flexible lighting for any and every desire’. For this he used a swivelling spotlight that can be moved in all the directions by the means of a magnet. A real revolution! In the 70s, hundreds of Azimut spotlights were used in fashionable clothes shops and Parisian nightclubs...
Now the Azimut has been re-released and is going to satisfy every design enthusiast. It is available in various versions (table lamp, wall light / ceiling light) and can be used in private or professional areas. These functional lamps have an industrial look and allow you to direct the luminous flow exactly where you want it: the Azimut style!

This is an exact replica of the model from 1969 by Christian Girard. (Collection from the Fond National d'Art Contemporain Beaubourg). The base of the spotlight is magnetized and totally mobile so you are able to rotate it freely on the half-sphere.
