Together with Herzog & de Meuron, Belux has now made its design for the JINGZI silicon lamp ready for serial production. JINGZI is characterised by its organic form and ambivalent material. The lamp consists of a thin-walled transparent silicon tube. A teardrop-shaped casing at one end of the tube contains all the technical and installation parts. Made of natural silicon, the casing diffuses the light bulb's light, producing a comfortable soft lighting effect. JINGZI takes advantage of the material's unique properties. The flexibility of the silicon results in deliberate irregularities in form. The application of a process developed in-house affords the industrially manufactured product a seemingly high degree of craftsmanship. JINGZI is available as a suspension lamp, floor lamp and standing light. The length of JINGZI suspension lamp can be individually determined.The JINGZI floor / table lamp can be mounted onto any solid surface without the use of a retainer. It can be activated and deactivated by touching the silicon casing.
