The Mediterranean design by Emma Silvestris, with its branched pattern, is well suited to be used for functional purposes, like a salad set. The formal way of using the positive image of the pattern for the fork and the same pattern, but in the negative form, for the spoon is very intriguing. The variation of this icon in the "Mediterraneo" serving cutlery was achieved by transforming the perforated plate of the baskets that are already in production, into the three-dimensional handles and bowls of this cutlery. The Mediterraneo cutlery is made of stainless steel with solid handles and rolled bowls of different thicknesses with a mirrored finish.
