The Ote range forms a natural continuation of a design heritage extending back to the Aino Aalto range, created 75 years ago, and the Kartio range, due to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. In general, Aleksi Perälä's work embodies a strong sense of respect for the work of past classic Finnish designers. The underlying thinking that lies at the heart of the Iittala range - multifunctionality and combinability - also informs Ote. Perälä's answer to multifunctionality lies in his creation of three sizes of glass: two tumblers (25 cl and 36 cl) and a 29 cl wine and universal glass. All three sizes reflect the same basic approach.
