The idea behind the new design of the VITEO SOLO collection developed by Wim Segers, is to show tradition in a simple, modern form. It's not just the uncluttered style: ergonomics and durability also determine the philosophy of the SOLO tables, benches and chairs. The careful choice of materials is completely in line with the environmental awareness of our times. True to the motto 'back to nature' all items in the series are made completely out of Thermo Ash. Given that VITEO has already been working with ash since last season (Home Collection, glazed ash), we can talk of a natural further development in the use of home-grown timbers. What's more, the innovative thermal process (high temperature treatment) which makes a resin-free and extremely tough material ideally suited for outdoor and spa use without the addition of chemical substances is ecologically justifiable. A further feature of the process is the dark colouring of the timber, which underlines the elegance of the SOLO collection. All products are offered in a choice of two different sizes: high or low (for a lounge spirit). tables range from the smaller model (90 x 90 cm) to the grand garden table measuring 3.60 m in length, which is of course accompanied by matching benches and chairs. Those preferring a lounge style will undoubtedly wish to opt for the lower, extremely comfortable Solo Easy chair. Eye-catching among these simple, aesthetically pleasing creations are the relatively prominent table, chair and bench legs which lend a modern, extravagant accentuation to the traditional style components of the Solo collection.
