My White Light is the third stage of an Artemide venture that began with Metamorfosi and continued with the A.L.S.O. project by Carlotta de Bevilacqua, reaching the height of design sophistication within the "THE HUMAN LIGHT" concept. While the Metamorfosi research indicated colour as a first response to the individual's need to create an ad-hoc lighting environment that enhances his psychological and physical well-being and recreational pleasure, the research conducted for A.L.S.O. was extended to other variables relative to the individual's environment, such as sound and the quality of air, and the Metamorfosi system was maintained for the actual lighting. It is an innovative venture born from an international research project involving some of the world's top designers and architects and leading experts from various scientific fields such as medicine, biology, psychology and anthropology, coordinated by architect Carlotta de Bevilacqua and by Paolo Inghilleri from the University of Milan.
My White Light proposes equipment for the domestic environment that is able to produce a white variable light, that is, from warm lighting (yellow-orange tones) to very cool lighting (blue tones) and that is easily adjustable in intensity by the user. It uses fluorescentes RGB (red, green, blue) light sources, which enable a limitless variation of white light, with different intensities and a variety of colour temperatures.
