Playful and intelligent, Drop is a very contemporary interpretation of the archetype transformable seat of the golden years of italian design. It is comfortable and light, easy to dissasemble, transportable, and above all convertible : with a simple movement it transforms itself from seat to day-bed. The drop like shape of the head pillow is both an aesthetic and functionnal element : through a geometric fit it structurally locks the seat in its closed position without the need for any fastening device. In the double-seat version the two seats can be opened independently of each other thus creating original configurations and functions. Drop's versatility is expressed in its multiple uses : soft seat, small couch, lounge chair, day-bed, emergency bed, exercise mat as well as a play object for children and - why not- for adults. The outdoor version is the perfect seat for swimming pools or boats : in an instant it turns into a sunning bed. Drop can be disassembled into three parts for ease of carrying and its cover can be removed for maintenance.
