Jozeph Forakis presents Tivu : « Tivu is a tribute to the early days of television, when it was an extraordinary invention a revolution of domestic and everyday life. Millions of families waited with anticipation for the glass screen to light up and for the cathode tube to show images of a wonderful world. I have always though that the cathode tube was a lovely object and today it has become an icon. I wanted to celebrate it with a wall lamp that has a contemporary shape. The result is an illuminating object by a familiar and at the same time new design. The body of Tivu created in two shapes and two colours, is made up of a black and white rectangle with rounded corners that completely screens the light source, supported by a semi-transparent element through which lights spreads to the walls and the surrounding space. It can be placed in a range of different settings and used in many different ways. Tivu is completely closed and therefore protected from dust which makes it perfect for both contract and domestic spaces".
