While the latest releases from Flos embody two radically different worlds, they come together on two points, and not least when it comes to lighting up our homes: remarkable design and a concentration of technology! You’ll be surprised…

Halfway between shelf and lamp, Gaku – which means “frame” in Japanese – is a hybrid creation from the Nendo studio. This unique light fixture consists of a minimalist frame along with a small lamp to provide delicate mood lighting. Magnetic accessories (sold separately) can be used to decorate its minimalist structure, adding new features.

Nendo means “modelling clay”. A parallel that says a lot about the philosophy of the Japanese designer: an endless range of opportunities, flexibility and the infinite possibility of self-reinvention…
This internationally renowned designer has made Japanese minimalism his trademark.

Gaku comes in two versions:

Breaking with the codes of the classic wall lamp (and that’s an understatement), Wirering offers an intriguing minimalist design. A true light sculpture, Wirering proudly shows off its electric cable as it powers up its enigmatic light disc.

Arrangements
by Michael Anastassiades

A fascinating, sculptural light… With the “Arrangements” series of pendants, contemporary art comes into our homes. Arrangements pendants look great in our homes, showing them off and offering them real presence. They fascinate and draw the eye in the same way that a piece of jewellery adorns the skin and attracts the gaze of whoever sees it.

A true design legend, the Arco floor lamp is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
