Designer Paola Navone has a habit of drawing inspiration from her travels and her taste for the culture of other countries to develop new projects. With the Fish & Fish collection, she’s interested in items produced during the Great Depression of the 1930s in the United States. It was in Sandwich, Massachusetts, that, during these years of crisis, moulded glass utility dishes were designed, mainly in three colours: jade green (Jadeite), transparent (Depression glass) and white (Milk glass). Cheap, hard-wearing and well designed, this glasswork, which became very widely used in American homes from 1930 to 1950, is now popular among collectors. Paola Navone is now bringing it back to life with this 'Fish & Fish' collection, featuring plates, glasses, jars, carafes, dishes, trays and accessories, all in the shape of fish and stamped 'Herring bar'. You’ll love this fun collection, retro and ultra-modern at the same time.
