Faithful to the original design and incorporating contemporary technologies, these lights, like all Sammode lights, display an exceptional quality of workmanship and French manufacture. Sammode Studio revisits the avant-garde spirit of one of the key lighting designers of the 1950s. Very prolific, in the 1950s, Pierre Guariche designed a multitude of lighting models corresponding to different uses. His lights offer great user comfort and optimal light quality. There’s no apparent light source, thus avoiding glare. Pierre Guariche didn’t study the possibility of expressing a style, but the best way of lighting a room. The technological ambition of Sammode Studio provides each part of the collection with advanced technical devices (swivel arm, cantilever, swivel or tilting jib, articulated spherical arm or counterweight sphere, etc.). Designed in 1951, the G25 Potence wall light consists of a steel shade topped off with a reflector petal in perforated sheet steel that filters and reflects light for comfortable, warm lighting. Highly innovative for its time, this wall lamp has a long arm that pivots on the horizontal axis and slides to adjust the length.
