Aquatic wave ... The horizon wallpaper was created by French interior designer and architect Joran Briand. Passionate about surfing and the ocean, he developed this aquatic motif using photos of expanses of water taken during a boat trip. The photos were reworked using a pointillist technique to provide an evanescent, contemporary interpretation. The surface of the water with its continuous flow of waves is transcribed in a constellation of dots. This pattern, which is repeated continuously over the entire surface, creates shadow effects and an impression of three-dimensionality. This vibrant surface releases a feeling of tranquillity and well-being. Joran Briand is known for his urban inlays: in particular, he created the huge concrete grids of the Mucem and Jean-Bouin Stadium for Rudy Ricciotti. The work of this young designer trained at Olivier de Serres and the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris is constantly looking for the sea and its open expanse, the continuous flow of breaking waves.
