The result of remarkable wood craftsmanship, his creations would quickly gain international renown. Today, Ercol is one of the last remaining manufacturers of English furniture still operating. Each item that leaves an Ercol factory is handmade in England, guaranteeing an irreproachable level of quality. Norwegian designer Lars Beller Fjetland has developed a permanent fascination with classic natural materials. He explains: "A good design must deal with the basics:a design should be honest, and show both how and why materials and components interact.
