The Keglen pendant collection was designed by the BIG Ideas architectural studio to equip the Tirpitz museum in Varde, Denmark. These aluminium pendants combine a pure, timeless design with excellent lighting qualities. Inside the conical lampshade is a curved opaline polycarbonate insert. This slightly domed internal diffuser provides downward, uniform, glare-free lighting. Each lampshade size has its own light-scattering properties, while the white interior perfectly reflects the light. A discreet opening at the top of the lampshades also allows a subtle upward light to be emitted for a perfect atmosphere. The objective of the BIG Ideas studio was to create a family of pendants whose members share a strong visual identity while offering through their varied dimensions a palette of use that’s as wide as possible. “The geometric metallic lampshades have a soft, organic opaline acrylic insert reminiscent of a drop of water. “The larger pendant is ideal for large spaces (dining rooms, restaurants, meeting rooms, museum halls), while the smaller one provides more intimate lighting, whether used alone or in multiple copies.
