Like a telescope, this tube (Ø 6 cm) lengthens and shortens in the blink of an eye, producing a wider or narrower light beam. Made of extruded aluminium, consists of 3 sliding segments. The Micro Telescopic pendant provides sustained, functional lighting despite the reduced dimensions of the cylinder. The height of the telescopic tube varies between 94 cm (minimum) and 165 cm (maximum). The lighting changes depending on the height you give the tube: the shorter the tube, the more diffuse the lighting and the wider the illuminated area. The longer the tube, the more focused and precise the lighting, until it becomes a single bright spot. Everyone is free to choose the level of extension that suits them to constantly invent new light atmospheres. With the Micro Telescopic lamp, the famous designer and architect Jean Nouvel continues his research into a certain form of elementarity. Very discreet, the lamp is as if dematerialised: it looks like a simple line drawn in space from which light shoots out. Only the essential remains: the light which becomes the major facet of the lamp. This beam of light that you widen or narrow as you please seems to come out of nowhere. The Micro Telescopic pendant evokes the unreal image of a stalactite coming down to the ground and sometimes even touches it by flooding it with light.
