Designer and architect Verner Panton (1926-1998) created Panthella in 1971. Verner Panton's figurative, playful design reflects his extravagant personality. This world-famous Dane continued to develop new materials for the fascinating, colourful spaces he created from his endearing works, without ever compromising on quality and functionality. Iconic and emblematic of the seventies, Panthella stands out as one of Verner Panton's most famous models, whose organic shape reflects the softest light. Verner Panton wanted to create a lamp whose base and lampshade acted as a reflector, combining everything with the organic shapes for which the Danish designer was famous. With its glare-free lighting, Panthella is a superb example of Verner Panton's exceptional talent for creating mood lighting. 50 years after the launch of Panthella, this new version of the table lamp has a reduced diameter of 32 cm. There’s no doubt that the Panthella family has long been a successful model for Verner Panton. Panthella continues to brighten up our interiors with its playful touch and curvaceousness, whether in the privacy of your living room or in a workplace, showroom, hotel or nightclub. This version with its opaline acrylic lampshade generates a diffused, comfortable light atmosphere thanks to its transparency, the downward reflection created by the inner lampshade, and the reflection created by the trumpet-shaped base.
