Japanese inspiration ... Created by the French designer Guillaume Delvigne, this sideboard has been designed as a piece of micro-architecture. The Pavillon evokes lake dwellings on stilts, typically Japanese. The oak structure is split by two sliding doors in mocha tinted glass. The glass is decorated with a relief grid pattern: a rich, refined texture. Translucent, the glass is semi-transparent: it partially conceals the contents of the case, so you can’t clearly distinguish the contours of the objects. The two shelves in light oak protrude over the sides, offering lateral storage spaces to display your favourite books or decorative objects. Guillaume Delvigne says about Pavillon: ''The use of a translucent glass came from a desire to guess the objects contained in the furniture without fully showing them. The Pavillon lets you both expose things to plain view while placing others out of sight, a theme that comes up regularly in my work.''
