A Scandinavian design icon! The String shelving system was designed in 1949 by the famous Swedish designer Nils Strinning. The String shelf is still manufactured in Sweden according to high quality standards. Its design has not changed since 1949. Totally flexible, this shelving system gives you complete freedom to customise the look, dimensions and functions of your furniture. All elements (uprights, shelves, compartments) are sold separately and very easily assembled. The shelves and compartments fit easily into the side pillars without the use of tools. Shelves and compartments are adjustable in height. To make your String composition, just buy at least 2 side uprights. You can choose between floor- (which stand on the floor) or wall-mounted uprights. If you want to expand your shelving, you can add a third upright or more. The price indicated is for a side upright in lacquered steel wire sold individually. This additional side upright lets you enlarge your String System Shelf. This upright measures: H 50 cm x D 30 cm. It can be suspended and should be fixed to the wall by 2 points: at the top and bottom.
