A Scandinavian design icon! The String shelving system was designed in 1949 by the famous Swedish designer Nils Strinning. Totally flexible, this shelving system gives you complete freedom to customise the look, dimensions and functions of your bookcase. All elements (uprights, shelves, boxes) are sold separately and very easily assembled. You choose the number of uprights, the number and length of shelves, you can add boxes ... The String shelf is still made in Sweden with close attention to quality. Its design has not changed since 1949. As for building your String shelving, nothing could be easier ! The shelves and boxes are freely arranged in the side uprights made of steel wire. You can choose between several types of shelves : wooden or metal shelf (L 58 cm or L 78 cm), magazine holder (L 78 cm) or shelf with 3 integrated bins (L 78 cm) ... You can also choose a box with sliding doors or drawers. The shelves and boxes fit easily into the steel side posts without tools. They can be freely arranged at the desired height. They assemble and disassemble very easily : so you can change their position in the blink of an eye. The lateral steel uprights attach to the wall. To make your String composition, just buy 2 side uprights at least. If you want to expand your bookcase, you can add a third mounting or more. This perforated metal shelf has a small rim (H 2 cm).
