Gabriel Tan

Initially trained as a combat officer in the Singapore Army, Gabriel Tan (b. 1982) changed his career path after discovering a passion for design in books at the National Bookcase.

In 2007, he graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in Industrial Design, and has never looked back since.

In 2016, Gabriel Tan founded Gabriel Tan Studio in Singapore. Four years later, in 2020, he moved to Portugal with his family and opened a branch in Porto.

This expansion of design practice across continents and cultures has given the team and their work an international edge, as evidenced by their achievements.
