Delivery

You decide where your parcel is delivered

Your parcel can be delivered wherever you decide: at home, on holiday…
We are able to deliver to the address that you have chosen, in the UK or abroad or to any of the countries listed below.
UK deliveries: our delivery charge includes all relevant fees and there will be no additional charges to customers.
It remains incumbent on the client to keep himself reasonably available to facilitate communication with our transporter and therefore delivery of your order.
For deliveries outside the UK or the European Union, taxes and customs fees will be charged to the delivery address and will be requested at the time of the delivery.
The bill will be sent with the parcel unless the delivery and invoice addresses are different.

Shipping

In order for you to receive your goods in the best conditions and time delays, we have chosen the following delivery companies.

UK deliveries:

  • Small / light parcels
  • Delivery by DPD or Royal mail within 5 to 7 days.
  • Big / heavy products
  • Delivery by Geodis courier service (from Monday to Friday).
  • ● If you have chosen to be contacted prior to delivery, the courier company will call you within 5 to 10 working days to arrange for a delivery date and time.
  • ● All deliveries of big/bulky items are automatically kerbside deliveries. Should you wish to be delivered to your flat or into you house, this is possible on request with extra delivery charges. In order to get a quote for this type of delivery, please contact our customer service.
  • ● Please note that if there is no suitable access for the lorry, the order will be delivered to the kerbside.
  • ● For very heavy items, and to ensure optimal conditions of transport, your items may arrive shrink-wrapped on a pallet. Our service doesn’t include the removal of packaging (including the pallet itself), assembly or setup of your item(s). In order to get a quote for this service, please contact our customer service.

Returns

Under Regulation 10 of the Distance Selling Regulations, the Customer has the legal right to cancel his Order within fourteen (14) working days, starting on the day after the day on which the goods are received.

Our returns & refunds policy on standard goods that aren't damaged:
Please contact us to discuss a return within 14 working days starting on the day after the day on which the goods are received.

Please note that you will have to cover the cost of return of any goods.

To request a return, you can log into your customer account - My orders’ section, to request an online return or contact Customer Services by telephone on +44 (0)207 692 4001 (UK local rate). We will then contact you to explain the returns procedure.

Products must be returned to us properly protected and in their original packaging in a new, unused and unassembled condition. They must be in perfect condition for resale. Please do not stick or mark anything on the items’ original packaging (sellotape or return label/voucher). Any product returned incomplete, damaged, washed, spoiled, degraded or soiled, even partially, will not be refunded or exchanged.

Delivery areas - Delays - Shipment costs

Delivery dates and shipment costs are communicated for every order when placing the order. These will also be confirmed by e-mail after the order has been placed.
Within the UK and European countries.

If you are not in when the goods are delivered, the driver will put a card through your door. If the product is delivered via DPD (small products under 30kgs) they will automatically attempt a second delivery on the next business day (free of charge).

You can also opt for an upgrade delivery: choose a morning or an afternoon slot or a Saturday morning for a small additional charge (amount indicated on the card).
If your order is delivered via courier you will have to call them and re-arrange another delivery.

> If one or several items are not in stock when placing your order, the delivery times will be extended as indicated in your shopping basket.


Outside the UK or the European Union, customs duties and local taxes will be borne by the recipient.

Taxes and custom fees

For all deliveries outside the UK or the European Union, VAT, taxes and custom fees will be at the customer’s expense, and will be asked for at the time of the delivery. (The amount will be calculated once the goods arrive in customs)

Made in Design does not manage the tax refund. You can either contact the customs directly or have the delivery made to the asked address.
In this case, the invoice will be included with the parcel and a copy of the invoice will also be available in the customer’s account on the website.
