Fritz Hansen

Republic of Fritz Hansen: the heritage of Danish design between modernity and timelessness

A founder of Scandinavian design

Republic of Fritz Hansen is a leading name in Danish and international design. Founded in 1872, the company embodies a vision of furniture where formal elegance meets functional excellence. From the outset, the brand has developed a demanding approach, blending traditional craftsmanship with industrial innovation to create pieces that are designed to last, both in terms of quality and aesthetics.

Arne Jacobsen, founder of a universal language

The history of Fritz Hansen is inseparable from that of Arne Jacobsen. A visionary architect and designer, he shaped the brand's identity with creations that have become absolute benchmarks of modern design. The Series 7 chair, the Egg Chair and the Swan Chair reflect his quest for balance between fluid lines, comfort and functionality. These pieces, now exhibited in major international museums such as MoMA, bear witness to Fritz Hansen's lasting cultural impact.

A dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation

While heritage is central, Fritz Hansen does not limit itself to its past. The brand pursues its development by collaborating with a new generation of international designers, who reinterpret the codes of Scandinavian design with a contemporary sensibility. This constant dialogue between tradition and innovation enables the brand to remain relevant, while retaining a strong identity.

A commitment to quality and materials

Fritz Hansen furniture and lighting are distinguished by a rigorous selection of materials. Curved Wood, Leather, Steel and top-of-the-range Textiles are precision-worked to guarantee durability and comfort. Each piece is designed for everyday use, whether in a living room, dining room or professional space.

A timeless, universal aesthetic

Fritz Hansen creations are characterized by a refined aesthetic, where each line is essential. This masterful minimalism, typical of Scandinavian design, allows the pieces to stand the test of time without losing their relevance. They fit naturally into contemporary interiors as well as more classic spaces.
