Douglas Mont

Douglas Mont: a very spatial designer...

Nurtured by the imagery inspired in Jodorowsky by the cult science-fiction novel Dune, Douglas Mont is not American but French. His distant great-uncle, G.L. Rispal, was the founder in 1924 of the Parisian firm Rispal, which specialized in reasonably priced lighting fixtures and, after flourishing for decades with hundreds of references in its catalog, went out of business in 1982.

Douglas Mont took up the torch in 2018, reissuing best-sellers from the 1950s. He has expanded his lighting collection with his own contemporary creations. He has made a name for himself in modular design in the form of evolving light sculptures.

Based between the Auvergne and the Azure and still with one foot in Paris, Douglas Mont's In the Air is his first collaboration with DCWéditions.
