A new galaxy... The Chandelier ''In the Air'' is part of a repertoire combining retro-futuristic fantasy and nostalgic science fiction.
To design this chandelier, which blends steel and Opal Glass, designer Douglas Mont found his inspiration in Milan, where most building entrances from the 1950s to 1980s feature a decorative condensation of Marble, Ceramics, panelling, Brutalist sculptures and fixtures in Murano glass or Opaline. The repertoire is rich and often signed by the greatest names in design and architecture.
With their flying Saucer look, glass diffusers seem to have escaped from an American comic book or Hollywood B-movie. Biomorphic, set unanchored on metal circles, like some totemic lights from the Italian sixties, In the Air is poised in space, profiled like an opalescent levitating air-station. This "luminous arsenal" operates in fleets of three or six aircraft!
This high-quality Pendant is destined to endure over time and be handed down from generation to generation.
