Fermob 1900 design garden chair: romantic elegance à la française
With its delicately crafted curves and scrolls inspired by Parisian wrought-iron balconies, Fermob's 1900 Chair celebrates a certain French art de vivre. This iconic piece of outdoor furniture revisits the romantic aesthetics of winter gardens, bandstands and bourgeois terraces in a more contemporary and functional version. A garden chair that crosses trends without ever losing its decorative power.
The spirit of romantic gardens revisited
The 1900 collection draws its inspiration from the wrought iron ornamentation of the 17th and 18th centuries. The refined scrolls of the backrest and the hand-forged rings bear witness to a rare savoir-faire that Fermob still perpetuates today in its workshops in Thoissey, in the Ain region of France. Combined with a perforated steel seat and polyester powder-coated finish, this metal garden chair combines handcrafted refinement with outdoor resistance. Available in a wide range of shades, including Candied Orange, Cotton white, Latte beige, Cactus, Black Cherry, Limetree and Licorice, it can be used to create ambiances as warm as they are contemporary.
A chair for living terraces
Behind its delicate allure, the 1900 Chair reveals a particularly practical design. Now stackable up to 10-high, it is perfectly suited to the needs of both large summer tables and smaller, more urban outdoor spaces. Its steel structure ensures excellent stability, while its perforated seat allows water to drain naturally after rain. This outdoor Stacking chair can be used for everyday meals or long summer evenings with friends around a Round table from the same collection.
A Fermob icon full of character
With the 1900 collection, Fermob has succeeded in preserving all the poetry of traditional French garden furniture while adapting it to contemporary uses. Combined with ancient stone, light gravel or lush vegetation, this designer terrace chair immediately creates an elegant and convivial atmosphere. Its refined design and multiple colors can be used to create a sophisticated monochrome exterior or a more expressive, sunny terrace.
The 1900 Chair is for those looking for outdoor furniture that's as charming as it is functional. A timeless piece that turns every outdoor meal into a timeless interlude.
