Description
The iconic 9093 kettle (better known as the Oisillon kettle) was designed in 1986 by Michael Graves (1934 - 2015). American architect, Michael Graves was an iconic figure in the postmodernist movement, who attempted to redefine the language of modern architecture. With its bird-shaped whistle, the 9093 kettle is one of the most iconic designs of the 20th century. It's also one of the Alessi brand's most iconic pieces. The kettle's design combines the erudite influences of European Art, American Pop art and references to Pre-Colombian civilizations. Thanks to Graves' unique personal language, this kettle has enjoyed an extraordinary success since it was first produced. An intelligent, elegant object which is also fun and amusing: when the water boils, the little bird starts to sing bringing an inevitable smile to one's lips. This charming, elegant kettle is also a superb collector's item. Suitable for induction hobs.
