AJ Mini Table lamp metal grey / H 43 cm - Swivel / Arne Jacobsen, 1957

Arne Jacobsen x Louis Poulsen: an icon to be posed

A cult creation of Danish modernism

Treat yourself to a cult piece of Scandinavian design. Imagined in 1957 by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen, the AJ lamp was designed as part of the prestigious SAS Royal Hotel project in Copenhagen. More than just a hotel, this building embodies a global vision of design: Jacobsen designed every detail, from the architecture to the door handles and lighting fixtures.

An emblematic collection of elegance and functionality

Of the many pieces designed for the hotel, the Mauve Lamp is undoubtedly the most famous. It marked a turning point in Jacobsen's career, becoming an emblematic model of Nordic design. Originally available as a Floor light, Wall light and Table lamp, it became a fixture in the most demanding interiors. The Wall light, in particular, illuminated the walls of the hall in enfilade, combining light and graphic aesthetics.

Jacobsen's signature graphic silhouette

The profile of the AJ Mini Lamp is a compendium of rigor and precision. Oblique lines, sharp angles, balanced proportions: everything about this luminaire recalls the codes dear to Jacobsen. Its design directly echoes the 3300 range of armchairs, themselves inspired by the architectural lines he loved. This compact version (H 43 cm) retains all the expressive power of the original, in a format ideal for a Desk or Bedside table.

Soft, directional light

Designed to provide downward-directed light, the AJ Mini Lamp guarantees precise, pleasant illumination. The adjustable Lampshade makes it easy to modulate the light flux to suit your needs. Its white interior reflects light softly, without dazzling, creating a felted atmosphere perfect for reading, writing or simply dimming the mood.
