Hay Apex Desk Lamp: Design That Helps You Focus
Created by British designer John Tree for Hay, the Apex desk lamp reimagines the iconic banker’s lamp with a contemporary twist. Designed to support work, reading, and creative activities, it combines clean lines, functionality, and elegance in a lamp that fits naturally on any desk.
A silhouette that structures the workspace
The Apex desk lamp stands out for its folded steel lampshade, whose shape evokes a roofline—a detail that inspired the collection’s name. This graphic form contrasts with the slender arm and the round chromed steel base to create a silhouette that is both light and assertive. Its minimalist aesthetic brings real personality to the desk without distracting from what matters most.
Lighting Designed for the Workday
Thanks to its 360°-adjustable lampshade, this adjustable desk lamp precisely directs light onto a computer, a Notepad, or a work surface. Its compact size helps keep your workspace uncluttered while providing comfortable lighting for remote work, long study sessions, or creative projects. The switch on the Cable ensures simple and intuitive daily use.
A Hay signature that goes beyond the desk
Available in several colors, the HAY desk lamp fits just as easily into a home office as it does into a professional space or creative studio. Its design language complements light wood as well as metal, glass, or concrete. More than just a functional light fixture, it contributes to the space’s identity and embodies a contemporary vision of design.
Choosing the Apex desk lamp means investing in lighting designed to enhance visual comfort while elevating the workspace. A creation by John Tree that transforms every office into an environment that is as inspiring as it is efficient.
