Arum Arched Floor lamp metal / Swivel and adjustable - L 155 x H 205 cm

Ferm Living Arum Arched Floor Lamp: a sweeping arc of light in the living room

An enlarged version of the original Arum floor lamp, the Arum Arched features a spectacular 205-cm-high arch and projects its light up to 155 cm into the room. This large arc floor lamp allows you to direct light over a sofa, an armchair, or a table without having to place its base directly nearby. Its silhouette strikes a particularly successful balance between the slenderness of the metal structure, the organic shape of the Lampshade, and the solid, mineral presence of its massive base.

An organic silhouette supported by stone

The Arum collection draws its formal language from the plant world. The lampshade evokes a broad petal suspended at the tip of a long, curved stem. This supple line contrasts with the density of the stone base and gives the floor lamp a presence that is both graphic and light.

Depending on the version, the thermolacquered metal structure rests on a base made of solid beige travertine or solid black marble. The aluminum lampshade features a matte off-white interior that enhances the light’s diffusion. With its 45-cm diameter and wide reach, Arum Arched becomes as much a key element of interior architecture as it is a source of light.

Where should you place a large arc floor lamp?

An offset floor lamp like the Arum Arched is particularly well-suited for the living room, where its wide reach allows it to illuminate an area far from the base. Placed behind or next to a sofa, it can direct light over the seating area or coffee table while keeping walkways clear.

Its generous size also makes it ideal for defining a reading nook or complementing a large table. However, its total depth of 155 cm must be taken into account when arranging the space. It is particularly well-suited to spaces large enough to accommodate its sweeping curve without feeling cramped.

Can the light from the Arum Arched floor lamp be adjusted?

Yes. The arc swivels and the lampshade tilts, allowing you to adjust the position of the light source and direct the light more precisely according to the room’s layout. This flexibility is particularly useful when placing the lamp next to a sofa, an armchair, or a table, allowing you to adapt the lighting to suit different uses. The diffuser is also removable.

What bulb should I use with the Arum Arched floor lamp?

The Arum Arched works with an E27 LED bulb rated at up to 12 W, not included. According to the product information, this maximum wattage is roughly equivalent to a traditional 75 W incandescent bulb. However, the actual brightness will depend on the number of lumens of the LED bulb you choose. For use above a sofa or in a reading nook, it’s therefore a good idea to select the bulb based on your desired lighting level.

Beige Travertine or Black Marble: Which Version Should You Choose?

The two variations give the floor lamp very different characteristics. The Cashmere Beige version with beige Travertine features a soft, mineral-inspired color palette, while the black frame paired with Black marble accentuates the contrast and graphic design of the model. In both cases, the cylindrical base—22 cm in diameter and 40.2 cm tall—makes a strong visual statement while balancing the large metal arch.

Arum Arched naturally finds its place in interiors where the light fixture plays a full role in shaping the space. Its long curve frames the furniture and suspends the light at the heart of the room, transforming the floor lamp into a true architectural statement.
