The collaboration between Patricia Urquiola and Glas Italia has led to an unexpected interpretation of glass. For Babar, experimentation resulted in a glass that doesn't have the usual appearance of glass, but has a mineral aspect.
This innovative glass is made from an agglomerate of 100% recycled glass shards, mixed with a plant-based biomass Resin. Each piece is hand-crafted. The speckled, slightly grainy material has a raw, organic look.
The Babar tables offer a Toy of imposing, balanced volumes. Their lines are round, simple and massive. The wide, sturdy cylindrical legs, splayed at the bottom, evoke the legs of an elephant. An extraordinary zoomorphic design that will make Babar a centerpiece of your decor.
The Base, legs are easy to assemble and disassemble thanks to a practical system of metal plates.
