Bell Portable LED Wireless Rechargeable Lamp: An Iconic Light Source, Now Portable

With its two dome-shaped sections and glossy finish, Tom Dixon’s Bell Portable features a silhouette that is as simple as it is recognizable. This wireless rechargeable lamp can easily be moved from the living room to the bedroom, or from a dining table to a patio. Compact at 28 cm tall, it combines a striking decorative presence with intuitive use. Available in a wide range of colors—from Baby blue to Black, including Copper, Fluorescent orange, Gold, Moss green, Putty, Silver, and Taupe—it also lets you fully embrace color.

A striking silhouette that captures its surroundings

Bell’s design is based on a particularly effective graphic balance. The rounded lampshade echoes the base in a play of symmetrical curves that gives the fixture its almost monolithic appearance. Its glossy surface captures reflections from the room and changes its appearance depending on the surrounding light. Both a functional object and a decorative statement, Bell naturally fits into contemporary interiors.

How do you adjust the light on the Bell Portable?

The Bell Portable LED allows you to precisely customize its lighting. A long press gradually adjusts the light intensity, while a double press lets you choose between 2700 K and 3000 K. Its memory function saves the selected setting so it’s available the next time you use it.

Which light temperature should you choose: 2700 K or 3000 K?

The Bell Portable lets you choose between two lighting atmospheres. At 2700 K, the light is warmer, slightly golden, and enveloping. It’s particularly well-suited for a cozy atmosphere, such as a dinner party, living room, or bedroom. At 3000 K, the light remains warm but appears brighter and more neutral. It provides a clearer perception of the space while maintaining a comfortable ambiance. You can switch between the two color temperatures by double-tapping the lamp.

How long does the battery last on this rechargeable lamp?

The Bell offers between 6 and 9 hours of battery life, depending on the brightness setting used. It recharges via the included USB-C cable with a magnetic connector. The system allows you to easily attach the cable to the lamp using its magnetic end.

Can the Bell Portable be used indoors and outdoors?

Yes. Thanks to its IP44 rating, the Bell Portable is protected against water splashes. It can therefore be used both indoors and outdoors, though it’s best used in dry weather or under cover, such as on a covered patio, a sheltered balcony, or a garden table. However, it is not designed for prolonged exposure to rain or inclement weather.

How bright is the Bell Portable?

Its built-in 3 W LED delivers a flux of 220 lumens with a CRI greater than 90, ensuring accurate color rendering. Its adjustable lighting is particularly well-suited for moments when you want warm, controlled lighting—during dinner, in a lounge area, or by the bed.

Designed to meet contemporary needs, Bell combines the freedom of wireless use, precise brightness adjustments, and a striking visual presence. A portable designer lamp that you can naturally move around as the day goes on and your moods change.
