Bellhop LED FLOS the nomadic lamp turned contemporary icon
Thought of as a modern version of the Candle, the Bellhop LED reinvents mood lighting with a freer, more intuitive approach to design. Created in 2018 for the London Design Museum by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, this portable lamp by FLOS diffuses a soft, enveloping light that instantly transforms the atmosphere of a space.
A minimalist silhouette in the service of light
With its rounded shape and lacquered polycarbonate finish, the Bellhop cordless design lamp embodies the elegance of contemporary minimalism. Compact and lightweight, it is a natural choice for a coffee table, bedside table or sophisticated terrace. The designers chose to use edge-lighting technology, which consists of illuminating a Dish disc with a ring of LEDs placed around its edges. This process ensures perfectly even, glare-free diffusion, for particularly pleasant visual comfort in everyday use.
Intuitive light for every moment
As playful as it is functional, this rechargeable outdoor Lamp is flexible enough to be used in real-life situations. Rechargeable via a Type-C cable, it incorporates a battery indicator discreetly concealed beneath the base to preserve the purity of its lines. At the touch of a button on the Base, you can select four intensity levels from 10% to 100%, as well as three light temperatures 2200 K, 2700 K or 3000 K. A warm light for a terrace dinner, or a sharper light for evening reading on a balcony.
