Bird, the bar stool that makes color a design element
The Bird bar stool celebrates color as a true source of energy and conviviality. Designed by Nicholai Wiig-Hansen for the Bird Bar in Copenhagen before joining the raawii collections, it embodies Danish design, where the simplicity of the lines allows the color combinations to take center stage. In this version, the grey ash seat contrasts with orange powder-coated legs to infuse the piece with a joyful, luminous, and decidedly contemporary personality.
A graphic composition where every color finds its place
The Bird bar stool captivates with its deliberately minimalist silhouette, which showcases a vibrant interplay between materials and colors. The solid ash seat, lacquered in grey, lends a subdued elegance, while the powder-coated orange base radiates a sunny energy that naturally draws the eye. True to the raawii aesthetic, this expressive color palette transforms a functional seat into a true decorative accent. Each color is designed to evoke emotion, infuse the space with vitality, and reveal the refined lines conceived by Nicholai Wiig-Hansen.
Designed to complement living spaces
Originally developed for a venue open to the public every day, this wooden bar stool meets the demands of daily use. Its solid ashwood seat offers a natural feel, while its 75 cm height is perfectly suited for a kitchen island, a bar counter, or a high table. Visually light yet robust in design, it’s equally suited for meals, socializing with friends, or working in an open kitchen. Its clean lines ensure it will stand the test of time while retaining its contemporary character.
A splash of color that brightens up any interior
In a contemporary kitchen or dining area, the Bird designer bar stool becomes a true focal point. Its orange base instantly warms up the atmosphere and complements light wood, concrete, stone, or white surfaces, while the gray seat provides the necessary balance to this bold composition. This color combination creates an optimistic, creative, and welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of the most expressive Scandinavian interiors. Bird does more than simply adorn a space—it infuses it with rhythm and personality.
Choosing the Bird bar stool means bringing into your home a creation where color becomes a true language of design. With its minimalist lines, vibrant color palette, and durable materials, it brings a cheerful presence that naturally enlivens living spaces while retaining the timeless elegance characteristic of Danish design.
