CARL HANSEN & SON

CH33T Chair natural wood / Hans J. Wegner, 1957

Since 1908, Carl Hansen & Søn has embodied the quintessence of Danish design by combining craftsmanship, quality and innovation. The brand brings together a collection of masterpieces of Scandinavian design: iconic items created by the greatest Danish designers. Handcrafted in Denmark, these pieces with their exceptional quality stand the test of time. With the strictest respect for the original models, Carl Hansen & Søn reissues the legendary creations of Hans J. Wegner (1914 – 2007), considered one of the founders of Scandinavian design. Designed in 1957, the CH33 chair was produced for almost ten years. After a hiatus of around 45 years, production resumed in 2012. The sculptural, organic, clear shapes of the CH33 chair are striking. These sculpted lines are typical of the work of Hans J. Wegner. The height, depth and angles of the chair are carefully designed to adapt to the occupant, ensuring perfect ergonomics. The curved plywood seat and back are decorated with four visible round caps. Elegant and timeless, the CH33 chair embodies Danish minimalism and quality craftsmanship, making it an exceptional choice for those seeking both comfort and style. A masterpiece of simplicity and elegance, the CH33 chair is synonymous with durability and robustness. It’s guaranteed for 5 years. The carefully selected choice of wood highlights the natural grain, creating a chair that ages beautifully over time. Each CH33 chair is crafted with unparalleled attention to detail by the skilled artisans at Carl Hansen & Søn. The production process combines traditional artisan techniques with modern quality standards to create a chair that embodies the very essence of Danish design. The CH33 chair by Carl Hansen & Søn is much more than just a piece of furniture: it's a functional work of art that embodies the heritage of Danish design.
