Hay Chisel 10 Stool: The Elegance of Carved Wood
With the Hay Chisel 10 Stool, Andreas Bergsaker has created a minimalist seat where artisanal craftsmanship meets contemporary design. Compact and expressive, this designer wooden stool highlights the material’s natural qualities while making a strong visual statement.
A silhouette inspired by the art of woodworking
The Chisel 10 stool draws its identity from the carpenter’s chisel, echoing its clean lines and beveled edges. Its seat, made of molded plywood with oak, walnut, or beech veneer, features soft curves that contrast with the boldness of its legs, which end in solid wood tips. This blend of precise details and generous proportions naturally places the stool within current minimalist and organic design trends. Available in several wood species and colors, it easily expresses its own personality, from warm oiled oak to deep black or contemporary green.
Designed for Versatile Use
Thanks to its compact proportions and carefully considered ergonomics, this wooden stool works just as well around a dining table as it does in an entryway, bedroom, or workspace. It also offers an elegant solution for cafes, hotels, restaurants, or libraries, thanks to its certification for commercial use. Made in Europe, backed by a 10-year warranty, and crafted from FSC-certified wood, it meets the expectations of those seeking durable furniture that will stand the test of time for many years to come.
A signature piece from the Hay collection
The Hay designer stool fits seamlessly into contemporary, Scandinavian, or Japandi interiors. It pairs naturally with other pieces from the Chisel collection, which includes chairs, armchairs, and tables that share the same design language. Its timeless design also allows it to harmonize with materials such as stone, waxed concrete, or metal, creating balanced and sophisticated compositions. Few stools offer such a strong identity while maintaining such understated elegance.
Choosing the Chisel 10 stool means investing in a design meant to transcend trends and generations. It’s a piece that showcases the beauty of wood and brings understated elegance to any space.
