Compass Floor Lamp: The Reimagined Pendant Light
With Compass, Julien Renault has designed a stylish off-center floor lamp for Hay that combines the elegance of a pendant light with the freedom of a floor lamp. Its arched silhouette lightly frames the space while providing highly precise lighting.
Architecture in Motion
The Compass floor lamp captivates with its slender lines and impressive curved arm, which seems to suspend the light in space. Its spun aluminum lampshade with a brushed finish complements a structure of bent and welded steel tubes, while its cylindrical base made of extruded aluminium ensures perfect balance. Together, these elements create a minimalist, graphic silhouette that fits just as well in a contemporary living room as it does in a workspace or dining room.
Lighting that adapts to your daily life
Designed as a true alternative to a pendant light, this off-center floor lamp requires neither a ceiling outlet nor any drilling. Its extendable arm can be adjusted to three positions to illuminate a dining table, a sofa, or a workspace. The 360° swivel base, combined with the adjustable lampshade, allows you to direct the light precisely where it’s needed. Compatible with a dimmable LED E27 bulb, it effortlessly complements any ambiance.
A Contemporary Approach to Design
Based in Brussels, French designer Julien Renault creates objects where functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand. With Compass, he has created a light fixture that transcends its simple function of providing light to become a true element of interior architecture. Paired with raw materials such as wood, concrete, or stone, this designer floor lamp makes an elegant statement while maintaining a remarkable visual lightness.
The Compass floor lamp is designed for those seeking lighting that is as flexible as it is architectural. An exceptional piece that redefines the space while enhancing every moment of life.
