In Philippe Starck's Compression table for Glas Italia, transparent glass is combined with solid wood and Chromed steel, all assembled by a solid interlocking system inspired by traditional carpentry techniques.
The charm of this piece lies in the heavy Solid oak beam that runs longitudinally through the entire piece, penetrating the materials and uniting them. Polished steel details highlight the symbiosis of materials.
