Alessi Delight Candle stick: A Christmas Light Designed by Nika Zupanc
The Delight candle stick, designed by Nika Zupanc for Alessi, transforms a simple source of light into a true decorative accent. Crafted from hand-decorated porcelain, it features a geometric silhouette reminiscent of a stylized Fir-tree. Its compact size—Ø 10 x H 9 cm—makes it easy to place in the center of a table, on a Dresser, or a console table. Designed to hold a long candle (not included), it combines function with decorative appeal without taking up too much space.
Nika Zupanc brings design into the rituals of light
For the Delight collection, Nika Zupanc reinterprets the Christmas spirit through a more graphic and contemporary aesthetic. The candle stick thus plays with familiar holiday symbols while maintaining the Slovenian designer’s eclectic approach. Its hand-decorated porcelain and geometric patterns give this small piece a strong presence despite its compact size.
When lit, it adds an extra dimension to the arrangement. The vertical flame visually extends its silhouette and creates a point of light that naturally draws the eye. Used alone, it adds a precise touch. Arranged in groups, it creates a rhythmic play of light along the length of the table.
What kind of candle should you use with the Delight candle stick?
The Delight candle stick is designed to hold a long candle, which is not included with the product. This type of candle accentuates its vertical silhouette while casting a soft glow perfect for meals and social gatherings.
Where should you place this Christmas candle stick?
Thanks to its compact size, this designer candle stick can easily be placed on a dining table, console table, sideboard, or coffee table. On a festive table, it complements the tableware without taking up too much space. In the living room, it also serves as a small decorative object when not lit.
Can it be paired with other pieces from the Delight collection?
Yes. Part of the Delight collection, this candle stick is designed to complement the other festive pieces created for Alessi. It can thus be part of a coordinated display while retaining enough character to stand on its own.
