Since it was patented in 1967, Sammode's Lamp-tube has become a classic of French industrial and architectural lighting. Acclaimed by industrialists, architects and local authorities for its performance and robustness, the Sammode tube lamp has quickly become a cult item. Sammode luminaires are found in many prestigious buildings, including the French National Library in Paris, the Ray and Maria Stata Center designed by Franck Gehry in Cambridge (USA) and the Mama Shelter hotel in Paris, decorated by Philippe Starck.
With its raw, industrial style, the Elgar Floor lamp is characterized by its perfectly functionalist allure, its strictly formal humility. It features a transparent polycarbonate diffuser-tube with reflector and internal lamellae in tinted anodised aluminium (brass or copper). The diffuser-tube is set in a Charcoal black steel frame.
Transparent and reflective, Elgar is the perfect blend of Sammode know-how and design. The signature metal Grill with its sloping lamellae hides the light source for maximum visual comfort. The inclined louvers reflect light downwards while concealing the light source: efficiency and luminous comfort guaranteed.
