With Flamingo, Bernhard Osann has designed a spectacular floor lamp where light, movement, and balance become one. Its highly graphic silhouette rests on a structure that appears lightweight but is skillfully balanced. Thanks to a variable weight distribution and a central center of gravity, Flamingo can stabilize itself while maintaining great freedom of movement. The result is a sculptural floor lamp that changes shape depending on the position of its arms and instantly transforms the space.

A Structure Designed for Movement

The two upper arms are articulated, adjustable, and rotate 360°. Each is 140 cm long. This wide span gives Flamingo a spectacular presence and allows it to cast light well beyond its Base. Depending on the position of the arms, the floor lamp also changes in height, width, and silhouette, shifting from a very clean, horizontal composition to a more slanted and expressive design.

The structure is made of aluminium, while the stone grey base plays an essential role in the floor lamp’s balance. Its mineral quality contrasts with the delicacy of the metal lines and ensures the stability of the entire structure.

What kind of light does the Flamingo floor lamp emit?

Flamingo emits a powerful yet non-glare light thanks to its integrated linear LED sources. The version shown here combines three 18 W LEDs, each producing 1,800 lm, with a color temperature of 2,700 K and a CRI of 90. The adjustable brightness allows you to tailor the light to your specific needs, from brighter, more functional lighting to a softer, more decorative ambiance.

Can the light be directed precisely?

Yes. The articulated arms allow for a wide range of light direction adjustments. Their 360° rotation enables a wide variety of configurations, while the Structure’s flexibility allows the lighting to be adapted to the space and the intended use. Thanks to their 140 cm length, they can project light far from the Base and cover a particularly large area.

Can the light intensity be adjusted?

Yes. The Flamingo floor lamp features a dimmer built directly into the fixture. It allows you to turn the light on and off and gradually adjust the brightness as needed. This feature makes it easy to switch from functional lighting to a more subdued, decorative glow.

Where should you install a Flamingo floor lamp?

Thanks to its large span, the Flamingo is particularly well-suited for large living rooms, reception areas, spacious desks, or architectural projects. Its 140-cm arms allow it to cast light over a sofa, a Coffee table, or a reading area without placing the base directly beneath the illuminated zone. However, its variable dimensions require that sufficient space be set aside to fully exploit its range of motion.
