Description
“The FaberJorì collection of Christmas decorations designed by Marcello Jori is inspired by the famous Peter Carl Fabergé jewelled eggs. An artist and jeweller to Russia’s Imperial Court between 1885 and 1917, Fabergé crafted unique and precious eggs ordered by tsars as Easter gifts for their wives. These FaberJorì Christmas baubles are made of china and hand-painted. They are like items of jewellery with their sumptuous and refined decorations, unique objects you can hang in your home to give this year’s festive season an extra special touch. Each is designed to tell a different story. ““With this hot air balloon, a fourth Indian wise man tried to reach the grotto of Jesus but did not arrive in time for his birth. The Holy Child had already fled to Egypt. So the rubies he had brought for him are still there, on this hot air balloon.” - Marcello Jori”
