Fromme is an ergonomically designed Stool that incorporates the technical properties of the Bike saddle, thanks to shock absorbers under the seat that provide flexibility and suppleness for optimum comfort. Another inspiration taken from the Bike is the pure, streamlined lines common to all the pieces in the Fromme collection.
The Fromme collection offers a number of functional advantages: comfort (thanks to the shock absorbers under the seat), indoor and outdoor use thanks to the choice of aluminum construction and UV-treated grained matte paint. The Fromme Stool is stackable, water-resistant and certified for intensive outdoor use.
An avid cyclist, Canadian designer Yom Chung used to climb Fromme Mountain outside Vancouver and was fascinated by the technical performance of his bike. For his first collaboration with Petite Friture, Tom Chung sought to recapture the efficiency of his racing bike to reinvent the most common yet challenging object for a designer: a chair. One year after the release of the Fromme Chairs in 2020, Tom Chung and Petite Friture have teamed up again to produce this range extension. This latest addition to Petite Friture's avant-garde product range proves once again that the brand gives young designers a chance and trusts them to create key pieces for its collections.
Each color gives a new take on the sleek design of this incredibly light, strong and efficient lounge armchair.
