Gigi No. 4 Capri Pendant Light: a graphic, modular design made in Paris
With a diameter of 18 cm and a height of 21 cm, the Gigi No. 4 pendant light features a slender, vertical silhouette that gives it a graphic presence without overwhelming the space. Warren & Laetitia combine different shades of blue, a touch of Butter Yellow, and a Burgundy Cable to create a fresh and expressive Capri color palette. Fully modular, the lamp consists of three interchangeable elements that can be arranged freely around the Bulb. It is 3D-printed in Paris using recycled and recyclable plastics.
A composition that can be adapted
What sets Gigi apart is its construction. Its three units can be moved and assembled in different ways to play with layering, volumes, and colors. The lamp can thus change its look without changing any parts. This modularity adds a playful element to the product while allowing it to adapt to changes in an interior.
In the Capri version, bluish tones dominate the design, giving it a fresh and contemporary feel. Butter Yellow adds a softer touch, while the burgundy of the Cable and Ceiling Rose creates a deeper contrast. Inspired by the colorful world of the ’70s and ’80s, this combination remains balanced enough to complement contemporary interiors.
3D Printing as an Aesthetic Signature
3D printing plays a direct role in the fixture’s identity. Warren & Laetitia craft their creations in their studio in Paris’s 20th arrondissement by depositing material layer by layer. The layers are intentionally left visible and become an aesthetic detail in their own right. Far from being hidden, the manufacturing process here becomes a true design language. Slight variations may appear from one piece to another, a natural consequence of this technique.
Sustainable design from the very beginning
Warren & Laetitia’s approach is based on a design philosophy in which materials, manufacturing, and local production are closely intertwined. Gigi is made from recycled and recyclable plastic sourced from France and Europe. In particular, the studio uses rPLA derived from recycled food packaging, PLA made from cornstarch, and rPETG from recycled plastic bottles. Manufactured and assembled in Paris, the pendant thus prioritizes a local production chain. Its modular design extends this approach by allowing users to change its appearance without replacing the fixture. The electrical system is also assembled in Paris by workers with disabilities at the ESAT de la Bièvre.
Where should you install a slim pendant with an 18 cm diameter?
Thanks to its 18-cm diameter, Gigi No. 4 fits easily into spaces where you want to add a pop of color without creating an overly imposing presence. It’s particularly well-suited for hanging above a small table, in an entryway, or in a bedroom. Its vertical design also allows it to be installed in tighter spaces.
The collection also lends itself very well to arrangements featuring multiple Gigi pendant lights. By grouping different Gigi lights at varying heights, you create a graphic composition where the silhouettes, colors, and volumes complement one another.
Does the Gigi No. 4 pendant light provide bright lighting?
Gigi No. 4 is particularly well-suited for creating a decorative, focused light source. It uses an LED bulb E27 with a maximum wattage of 7 W. It’s therefore ideal for lighting a small area, such as above a table, in an entryway, or in a bedroom. For a larger room, it can be paired with other light sources or installed in multiples to distribute the light more evenly.
Which bulb should you choose for the Gigi pendant light?
The pendant must be used exclusively with an LED bulb E27 rated at a maximum of 7 W. The manufacturer recommends a bulb with a diameter of 6 cm or 9.5 cm, depending on the model. The bulb is not included. Halogen bulbs should not be used, as their heat can warp the plastic components.
With the Gigi No. 4 Capri, Warren & Laetitia offer a compact yet expressive pendant light capable of adding color and rhythm without overwhelming the space. On its own, it creates a highly distinctive graphic accent. When paired with other Gigi models, it contributes to a more free-flowing and personal lighting arrangement.
CAUTION. Do not use a halogen bulb to prevent the lamp from warping: use with an E27 LED bulb (not included).
