Description
Enter the legend of design with this re-edition of the iconic Gräshoppa floor lamp, a masterpiece of the 50s. We love its vintage design! Gräshoppa was created in 1947 by Swedish-born designer and architect Greta Magnusson Grossman. In 1930, Greta left Stockholm and moved to the West Coast of the United States. She introduced Californians to the unique style of Danish modernism, led by Arne Jacobsen.
The Gräshoppa floor lamp features a tubular steel structure and an aluminum shade. Its unique silhouette is instantly recognizable, with its tripod base, backward-sloping stem terminating in an oblong Lampshade, and simple, clean lines that are ultra-graphic. This striking silhouette is extremely modern. A joint allows the Lampshade to adopt different positions to direct the light.
Greta Magnusson Grossman's lighting fixtures are fetching record prices at auction, so don't hesitate to treat yourself to one of her iconic pieces for a reasonable price!
