GROOVE: outdoor design excellence by Tom Dixon

A high-end outdoor armchair with iconic design

Tom Dixon, a leading figure in contemporary design, once again pushes the boundaries of creation with GROOVE, his first outdoor furniture collection. The GROOVE Dining chair combines technological innovation with timeless elegance. Inspired by the bucket seats of 1950s sports cars, it boasts a "swollen", sculptural and graphic design, marked by raised grooves inspired by Art Deco, which reinforce both its aesthetic appeal and its solidity.

Shaped using an innovative process, this designer garden armchair is lightweight, stackable and ultra-resistant. Its high-grade aluminum, powder-coated without solvents or VOCs, ensures optimum protection against corrosion and weathering. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, it blends perfectly into an elegant terrace, a designer garden or a contemporary interior space.

A technical challenge in the service of excellence

Presented as an evolution of the HYDRO chair (Tom Dixon, 2021), the GROOVE outdoor armchair is the fruit of over a decade of research into the properties of Aluminium. Creating an outdoor chair that is at once design-led, robust and lightweight represented a real technological challenge. To shape GROOVE, Tom Dixon and his team used a superplastic forming process borrowed from the automotive industry. This innovative process involves heating aluminum to a high temperature, then blowing it into a mold to produce complex curves impossible to achieve using traditional methods. Once formed, the Armchair is laser-cut by robots to guarantee absolute precision. This advanced engineering gives it exceptional lightness without compromising its sturdiness, making it both a functional and sculptural Dining chair.

Elegant, durable outdoor furniture

Perfect for a designer garden dining room, terrace or modern interior, the GROOVE Stackable armchair combines aesthetics and practicality. Available in two sophisticated shades - Moss (deep green) and Putty (soft beige) - it adapts to all environments, from sleek minimalism to warmer spaces.

Its light weight makes it easy to move around, while its stackability enables optimal Storage, an asset for small spaces and professionals in the hotel and catering industry. Designed to last, it comes with a 3-year warranty and is environmentally friendly thanks to the recyclable aluminium used in its manufacture.
