Shaped using an innovative process, this designer garden stool is lightweight, stackable and ultra-resistant. Its high-grade aluminum, powder-coated without solvents or VOCs, ensures optimum protection against corrosion and weathering. A technical challenge in the service of excellence

Presented as an evolution of the HYDRO Chair (Tom Dixon, 2021), the GROOVE outdoor Stool is the fruit of over a decade of research into the properties of Aluminium. Creating an outdoor Stool that is at once stylish, sturdy and lightweight represented a real technological challenge. To shape GROOVE, Tom Dixon and his team used a superplastic forming process borrowed from the automotive industry. This innovative process involves heating aluminum to a high temperature, then blowing it into a mold to produce complex curves impossible to achieve using traditional methods. Once formed, the Stool is laser-cut by robots to guarantee absolute precision. This advanced engineering gives it exceptional lightness without compromising its sturdiness, making it both functional and sculptural.
