Ilio Ruby Red Floor Lamp: Light in Its Purest Form
When Ernesto Gismondi designed Ilio for Artemide, his vision was radical: to reduce the floor lamp to its most essential form. A simple colored cylinder capable, on its own, of illuminating an entire space. With this new Ruby Red finish, Artemide offers a more expressive take on this contemporary icon.
The Power of Italian Minimalism
Composed of a single aluminium tube resting on a discreet base, the Ilio floor lamp perfectly embodies the approach of contemporary Italian design. No superfluous details, no decorative concessions. Light and color take center stage. The Ruby Red hue—a deep Burgundy inspired by Artemide’s new collections—lends a warm and sophisticated presence to this architectural silhouette.
An invisible technological feat
Behind its apparent simplicity lies a true concentration of innovation. Located at the top of the cylinder, the integrated LED emits over 3,500 lumens through particularly comfortable indirect lighting. This designer LED floor lamp effectively illuminates a living room, desk, or large living space without glare. The built-in dimmer and Bluetooth control allow you to adjust the lighting ambiance directly from a smartphone.
A New Decorative Icon
Long available in understated finishes, Ilio now comes in a color that reflects current interior design trends. Paired with travertine, dark walnut, brown marble, or natural-colored textiles, this ruby burgundy becomes a true decorative accent. Where a black floor lamp might fade into the background, Ilio Ruby Red subtly asserts its presence.
Choosing the Artemide Ilio means investing in a design philosophy where technology takes a back seat to simplicity. A light column that transforms a space with the masterful simplicity of great Italian designs.
