Named Designer of the Year at Maison&Objet 2020, renowned Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades is an adept of purity. Composed of simple geometric shapes, his creations are imbued with a strong sculptural dimension.
For his first collaboration with Glas Italia, Michael Anastassiades pays tribute to the geometric abstraction of artist Kazimir Severinovic Malevic. The Kazimir coffee table features an unstructured assembly of green tempered glass sheets assembled using a special UV bonding method. The different planes interlock and overlap to create an asymmetrical, incredibly sculptural volume. The pure, rigorous lines have an emblematic presence.
