La Bella Tavola porcelain design serving dish by Ettore Sottsass
A centerpiece conceived as a design gesture, where presentation becomes an integral part of the meal.
A subtle, masterful graphic presence
With its generous dimensions, this designer Serving dish naturally imposes itself at the center of the table without ever weighing it down. Designed in 1993, it follows the formal codes of La Bella Tavola, with its fine lines and delicately widened edges. Fine porcelain reveals all its visual lightness, while the White version asserts a minimalist elegance. The slightly faded Cobalt blue decoration adds a more expressive, almost painterly dimension, in keeping with Sottsass's universe.
A stand designed to enhance service
This Serving dish is perfect for sharing, whether presenting a main course, roasted vegetables or a dessert to share. Its large surface area makes it ideal for showcasing both home cooking and more elaborate preparations. It quickly becomes a key piece for meals with friends or family, when you want to structure the table with coherence and elegance.
Create an expressive, personal table
Combined with the plates in the collection, this designer dinner service can be used to create a harmonious or deliberately contrasting ensemble by mixing finishes. It blends perfectly with natural materials such as wood or linen, but also with more contemporary elements for a controlled play of contrasts. A subtle way to add character to your table without overloading the space.
Adopting this Serving dish means choosing a piece that goes beyond its function to become a genuine compositional element. An invitation to make every meal a thoughtful, sensitive and profoundly aesthetic moment.
